I went to read the blog of my mastermind buddy Dan Linkert. https://masterkeydanl.wordpress.com. He had a simple and wonderful idea at the end. “So! What makes you Happy?”
OK I thought about that for a day. At first I was looking out there for all kinds of things I really enjoy doing. That wasn’t it. So I looked within, and discovered something new. I normally am Happy and then everything around me just makes me Happier.
I was focused on an event in my house Wednesday. My 4-year-old granddaughter’s birthday. My daughter Ashley put up a bounce house in the living room. I heard the motor fire up and make all kinds of strange noises. I went to look and the thought I had was how delightful. I went and got the camera to take some pictures. Kids are being kids and having fun. Then wonderful Raphaela (my wife) gets home.
Here is that picture. Kids turned on the Super Kid thingy. Attack Grandma
So I’m reading the question Dan made and I am working on the idea of; did that make me Happy? Well yes. But the real truth here is I’ve been working on making this family more Loving by being more Loving, creating a more harmonious home by being more harmonious. So to one degree I am doing something by planting Love and reaping Loving & Happy events like this.
Creating an environment of harmony doesn’t Make something happen. For me I see that working towards the natural Love we have at birth, is the place we should be. We are created to be a Loving Being. When I’m there, and I’m not always. I am available to be Happy and spread more Love and Happiness. So basically I’m against the word “MAKE” when I feel we earn this happiness by being where we should be in the first place.
Just in case you’re bored someday. Put a bounce house in the Livingroom and invite some kids over; OMG. You will never believe the fun that can generate one little thing like this.
For my buddy Dan. What a delightful question you proposed and gave me a HAPPY day to search for Truth. For that Dan I thank You. I’m blessed to have such friends who plant Love in my Life. I can hardly wait to go to Canada and meet Mr. Dan.

Thanks Master Rae and Master Dan for that lovely insightful question…. What makes me happy? At the moment…. being in the moment would be the answer… being present in the moment in total appreciation of what is…. yer! Have a wonder filled week!

Martin SWEET you can add, Thank You for the GREAT laugh. That was funny.I get to spend the weekend in Silence and was amazed how quickly the plans come together and it wound up being PERFECT. I’m going to a Church Retreat Compound in west Virginia. I’ve stayed there before and couldn’t ask for better. Even the director said that the Vow of Silence is something that is and will be Respected. ……………………..

Just think of the happy memories you are planting in those little minds. The more you are happy, the more they perceive their Favorite Grandpa as being eternally happy, and they will try to emulate that in their lives. This lasts much longer than we do!

Your blog made me happy and aren’ t we lucky to get to read Dan’s blogs as well. I am late in replying because busy on our new skin line launch and Dan came to my house Saturday. I mentioned at that time that I was really enjoying reading of parents saying that they were being kinder to their children and that they were getting more love In return – so wonderful to read. He asked my husband how I had changed, and it was nice that he was very positive that I had always put my family first, so I didn’t need to do that on my go90grow OATS weekly schedule, but he did feel that I was more confident in my business – and I know that I am happier too Wishing you a happy happy week 22 with lots of quiet time. Looking forward to our next encounter. Connie (the momma)

Connie, Thank you so much for taking the time with all of us. The changes we make keep growing and adding to Others. I seem it is like a huge snow ball being rolled down hill, It just keeps getting bigger and bigger one little snowflake at a time then many and then so many we can’t count. Fun all the way down for all.
This weekend I’m taking friday night till Sunday night at a Retreat, Total silence and will be fasting to and from. I’m asking the Holy Spirit for my Gift and Truth & for everything that’s there for me. I have such a Peace about it that I really can’t put that into words yet, or maybe never, either way the experience will be something I’ve never endeavored in my entire life.

Debbie, Thanks so much for being there for us.The event was just fun. This weekend will be an experience also. I’ve never spent time for just me in my life. Now I am spending the friday to sunday night in silence and fasting there and back and during the time. I asked the Holy Spirit for the gift, Wisdom & Truth. I’m just at Peace with the whole Idea and haven’t put a lot of thought into it. I will live the experience and learn what I need at the speed I’m allowed to move in.
